When it comes to foundation, I personally prefer light to medium coverage. So, when paying for something that barely covers my face… I can’t bring myself to pay too much. While my sister loves the high-end brands for their quality – I lean on drugstore brands for their price point. Luckily, I have tried quite a few and am going to give you my honest take – all under $30 [not bad, I’m listening now…].
Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream
This is my all time favorite for everyday wear. A tinted moisturizer with SPF is all I have to wear if I’m rushing out of the house and it gives your face a bit of life.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint
If you didn’t catch it from the name this one is insanely moisturizing. I wouldn’t recommend this for oily skin – but if you have combo or dry skin this gives a very natural dewy look.
Honest Beauty Everything Cream Foundation
I was on the fence when I decided to pick this one up off the shelf because I normally go for a more glowing look. So, I typically steer clear of cream foundations as they tend to look more matte. However, this one is matte – but not to matte (it literally says that in the product description). So if matte is more your thing, this is a great option. Doesn’t hurt that we know Honest Beauty is clean as well [I have tried this and think it’s fantastic, good long wear too]
L’Oréal Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation
When thinking L’Oreal, I had always gone for True Match which was too full coverage and cakey for me [agreed, also they never had my true match…]. However, when I figured out that I could get a lightweight foundation with their fresh wear line it was a game changer. Best part about this one is it truly does last all day long and doesn’t transfer.
NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop
OK so I’m bringing this one up because I’m sure there are people out there who would like it – but, like I said, I normally like a more dewy face and this one is super matte. However, given that it’s matte, it really doesn’t crack or make your skin look too dry. It also is waterproof which I didn’t love because I felt like I really had to scrub it off – but some people may need waterproof!
