Make a Reso

What are some of the things you think of when people mention NYC? Sightseeing, shopping, Broadway, FOOD! [it’s the pigeons for me] Whether it’s a street cart or Michelin star restaurant, NYC and food go hand in hand. You can live in this city for years and never have to repeat a restaurant unless you want to. The options are endless and you have tons of boroughs to explore. Here are a few places I’ve enjoyed over the years, in various phases of life. Enjoy!

Girlfriends

La Mercerieif you want to land in Paris with your best friends without actually getting on a plane, this is where you go. The restaurant is connected to a lovely furniture store to peruse after your meal.

KymaMykonos meets NYC, you’ll be screaming to talk to your friends but that’s only between dancing to the live DJ in house. [sparklers up!] You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, especially the Feta Fries.

Rosemary’sI still love this Linguine 10 years later, and dream of the olive oil cake. This West Village staple is perfect for a girl’s lunch or dinner. Split a bottle [or two] of wine and enjoy your meal family style.

Nobuit may not be the Malibu location but the food doesn’t disappoint, especially the crispy rice with spicy tuna. With two city locations you’ll always see a full restaurant with a lively menu and patrons.

Late Night

Halal Guys – it’s not a complete night without chicken over rice and signature white sauce. The Halal Guys now have restaurants in various cities but you have to find the truck in Midtown… must have. [Gyros and fries are good too]

Joseph Leonardthis playlist doesn’t disappoint, when you’re looking for a later evening snack, or meal, after drinking this is a great spot with great music. It’s how I discovered HH BBQ on Pandora… Yes, I just dated myself 🙂 [I genuinely have no clue what you’re talking about? A playlist for a BBQ?? PANDORA?!

99 Cent Pizza – I’m not joking, it is a delicious slice of pizza at any hour but primarily anytime after midnight… something about it just makes it taste better. Maybe it’s soaking up the alcohol? Tons of locations throughout Manhattan, just google it. [skip the dominos delivery and get a large pie for $8 – def worth it]

Date Night

L’Artusi – make a reservation as far ahead as you can, as this restaurant has a permanent spot on almost every list for best Italian in the city. [I’ve been dying to go here!! Someone ask me out] Great to share items and you will never have a bad meal. Great for a celebration, birthday, anniversary, you name it!

Francie – don’t sleep on this Williamsburg spot. Went in with relatively normal expectations and were blown away. The market salad, bucatini, rigatoni, I mean all. of. it.

The Mark – make it a breakfast date, this place has the most amazing breakfast and everything is shareable. Take a nice walk through Central Park and stop for an iced latte and breakfast, you’ll thank me later! [breakfast is my fave meal of the day… I’ll be there tomorrow]

Any spots on your go to lists? If there is something we need to try, and can’t miss, let us know and we’ll give it a shot!
