Hard seltzers have had a hell of a couple years. They are everywhere… and there are a billion options out there for you to pick from. Luckily, I have enjoyed day drinking my way through it all to give you the honest take on which seltzers you should try and why:
#5 Bud Light Seltzer
HARD PASS on this HARD seltzer lol. These gave me bad PTSD to frat parties in college. I know they aren’t actual Bud Lights but unfortunately that’s still all I taste. Nothing else much to say on this one sooo moving on…
#4 Truly
Truly good, but just good. This is probably the first hard seltzer I ever tried, and since then many more have come to market. I will give Truly the award for the most flavor options. Between their Lemonades, Iced Teas and Punches [the only types of flavors I’ll try… maybe I’m sold] – you can practically find a flavor that will fit almost anyone. However, this is probably the sweetest hard seltzer on the list. For me, (and my tummy), I don’t enjoy my drinks being too sweet, so that’s why this is #4 on my list.
#3 White Claw
White Claw has to be my favorite classic hard seltzer. I don’t know if it’s real or just in my head, but White Claws seem more carbonated than the other options making the flavors more mild, yet still refreshing [it’s true, way too bubbly]. They also use all natural ingredients. My favorites are Ruby Grapefruit, Blackberry & Natural Lime.
#2 High Noon
I only tried High Noon recently, but I knew I would like it as I am a [basic] vodka & soda kinda gal. I originally thought that these were a little lackluster in the flavor department – but when I found the peach flavor it was game over. Definitely try it if you haven’t. The reason why this one is so high on the list? WAY less of a hangover with High Noon than the other hard seltzers. There is a reason for the basic bitch vodka soda phenomenon, after all.
#1 June Shine
This is the best under-the-radar drink you have to run to try. June Shine is a Hard Kombucha, and let me tell you – it’s amazing [for the Kombucha reason, I’m out]. They have a few different flavors and all are delicious. They are a bit heavier than the other hard seltzer options, so if you’re in a binge drinking mood you may have to skip the last night pizza, but you will wake up with little to no hangover and a very healthy gut!
What other hard seltzer options should we try? Always up for new recs!
